Bring your Jericho down

Bring your Jericho down

Jericho was the gateway city to Canaan that the Israelites came to when they entered the Promised Land. The city of Jericho was surrounded by walls so that no one was able to get in, and the walls served as solid protection against attacks.

According to human thinking there was no possibility to destroy the huge wall around Jericho.  It was an impossible thing for Israelites to enter the city because of the walls.

But God spoken to Joshua and gave him specific instructions what to do to bring the walls down. Joshua had believed what God had told him and he prepared himself and organised trumpet players and army to March around Jericho city. They had marched once in a day for six days and the seventh day they had marched seven times around the city. When they finished the seventh round, they started to blow the trumpet and then started to shout and praise the Lord in one accord. Bible says immediately the walls of Jericho is started to falling down by itself.

You have to realise that spiritual power is greater than the physical power. When they were marching around the city, they never had any idea about what going to happen. But when they obeyed God’s instructions, they got the victory.

What’s the Jericho in your life. If you obey God’s instructions, you can bring your wall surrounding Jericho down. Obey the simple step God asking you to do and start to praise the Lord for your victory. You should see your victory with your inner eyes. You may face unexpected challenges and trials in your life. Please leave your discouragements and frustration now. Start to believe a victory in your life. Take the simple actions same as Joshua did. God had never asked Joshua to do hard things like hitting the walls or climbing the walls or anything. God asked him to March and play trumpet around the city. It was a foolish thing in front of Jericho people. But it had a spiritual meaning for Joshua and all the Israelites.

Jericho
