Who’s Jezebel?
when we study the Bible we can see that-
- Daughter of King Ethbaal and wife of King Ahab – 1 Kings 16:31
- She was A Baal worshiper – 1 King 16:31
- Jezebel was A prophetess- Revelation 2:20
- She had spiritual control over 450 prophets of Baal and 450 prophets of Asherah – 1 Kings 18:19
How do we know someone is influenced by the spirit of Jezebel?
When we study the character of Jezebel it reveals what kind of influences are behind of a person.
Character of Jezebel Spirit :-
- A provoking or influential spirit – She provoked her husband King Ahab to build the temple and wooden image for Baal. – 1 Kings 16:32 & 33
- A seducing spirit- Revelation 2:20. She seduced the people to commit sin- it can seduce people and to commit sexual sin, immorality, fornication
- A Controlling spirit- 1Kings 16-19. She controlled the King of Israel and the entire kingdom. Spirit of Jezebel can control politicians, government, universities, cities, families and even the churches.
- She was against the Gods servant Prophet Elijah- A person of jealousy and revenge – 1Kings 19:2
- She was serving Baal and doing witchcraft – 2 Kings:9:22
- She stolen Naboth’s vineyard- A stealing personality- 1 kings 21:7,8 & 15
- She prepared a master plan to kill Naboth- A killing personality- 1 Kings18:13
The spirit of Jezebel is still active in person, families, organisations, business, churches and Government. Many men and women are controlled by the spirit of Jezebel knowingly or unknowingly. The influence of this evil spirit causes destruction in people’s life, families, churches and nations.
How we can stand against the spirit of Jezebel?
- Prayer & fasting– seek self deliverance
- Surrender to God completely– allow Holy Spirit to rule over all the areas of our life
- Seek deliverance from God– JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY DELIVERER
